About Mudde Photography

Who is Mudde Photography?

Camiel Mudde is a Dutch all-round photographer based nearby Rotterdam, the Netherlands. As a photographer, he tries not only to capture a good photo, but he also wants to tell a whole story with it. He has his own creative way of taking photos, he doesn’t like regular.

What is urbex photography?

Urban exploration photography (urbex) is the art of finding, exploring and capturing abandoned and forgotten places. Most of the times it’s illegal, dangerous and scary. For Camiel it’s special to photograph an abandoned location because it’s something which was used by people in the past, but not anymore. Check out his urbex photography portfolio!

What’s in my bag?

When I’m going out to photograph I carry my gear in the Lowepro ProTactic 350 AW II backpack. This backpack fits good for me because all of my gear fits in it and I can carry my tripod on the side of the bag.

I always bring my Canon Eos 6D with me. The lenses I use are the Canon EF 50mm f1.8, Canon EF 28-70L and the Tamron 15-30mm. The tripod I use is the Manfrotto Element Traveler Carbon Big, it’s really steady but still light. I always take my business cards with me, you never know who you will meet! When I go rooftopping I always bring a high visibility vest with me, if you wear this when you are at a place where you shouldn’t be people won’t be suspicious.
