Train crash Voorschoten
In Voorschoten, during the night of the 4th of April around 03:30 a.m., a passenger train derailed. As a result, an employee of construction company BAM lost their life, and dozens of people were injured, including some severely. The train collided with a construction crane belonging to BAM, which was positioned on the tracks. On board the NS night train, which was traveling from Leiden to The Hague, there were approximately fifty passengers, two conductors, and the train driver. Around thirty people were injured, and nineteen of them were taken to the hospital.
